Jimmy Vella was slow to begin. Early Express and Cosmic Sole collided soon after the start. Early Express, Cosmic Sole and Burnsy's Sam collided approaching the first turn checking Cosmic Sole and Burnsy's Sam. Early Express checked off No Road approaching the first turn. No Road and Vienna Gypsy collided on the first turn checking No Road. No Road and Cosmic Sole collided on the first turn checking Cosmic Sole. Why Not Cory and Cricket's Dash collided approaching the home turn. Jimmy Vella clipped the heels of Why Not Cory approaching the home turn causing both greyhound's to fall checking No Road, Burnsy's Sam, Cosmic Sole and Early Express.
