Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr.C. Elliot, the trainer of Olary regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Olary last raced on 21st September 2017. Mr. Elliot stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after a change of kennels.
Mr. N. Carthew, trainer of Jacks Rainbow declared a new weight of 37.5kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Jack's Rainbow last raced at 36.0kg.
A pre-race sample was taken from Colluding.
Bruree Jewel and Olary collided approaching the 250mt mark. Colluding, Spot My Key and Bruree Jewel collided at the 250mt mark. Jack's Rainbow faltered at the 250mt mark and lost ground as a result.
Jack's Rainbow was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left pencil muscle injury. A stand down period of 14 days was imposed.
Satisfactory Trial Results - SplashOf Blue trialled over the 350mt from box 3, weight 32.0kg,the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 19.42 ,the greyhound won by a margin of 10L. Splash Of Blue was cleared.
Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr D Jensen, the representative of Lilrigg regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Lilrigg last raced on 20th August 2017. Mr Jensen stated that the greyhound was returning from a tendon injury. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Lilrigg trialled over the 350mt from box 1, weight 34.3kg, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 19.42, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 10L. Lilrigg was cleared.
