Handsome Jake, Outta Ammo, Zefron and Hagrid Grange were slow to begin.
Handsome Jake checked off Zefron soon after the start. Hagrid Grange and Krazy Jane collided on the first turn, checking Hagrid Grange. Paid Too Much and Shadow Walker collided on the home turn. Krazy Jane eased approaching the winning post. Krazy Jane and Outta Ammo collided and fell after the winning post.
Outta Ammo was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abdominal muscle injury. A ten-day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr Kevin Quinn, the trainer of the greyhound Krazy Jane, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the winning post. Krazy Jane was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a carpal sprain to the right wrist, a 14-day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Krazy Jane with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Quinn pleaded guilty to the charge, Krazy Jane was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
