A pre-race sample was taken from Maximum Jan.
Eftpos Jess was quick to begin. Tomdor went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin. Stir Fry Shrimp checked off South Of Eden soon after the start. Voodoo Hustler crossed to the rail approaching the first turn, checking Geopark Ruby, Destini Galaxy and Eftpos Jess. South Of Eden and Maximum Jan collided on the first turn, checking Maximum Jan. Geopark Ruby crossed to the rail on the first turn, checking Destini Galaxy and severely checking Eftpos Jess. Stir Fry Shrimp, Eftpos Jess and Tomdor raced wide on the home turn. South Of Eden checked off Voodoo Hustler approaching the winning post.
Eftpos Jess was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained no apparent injury. No stand down period was imposed.
