Stewards spoke to Mr Kevin Quinn, the trainer of the greyhound Krazy Jane, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the winning post. Krazy Jane was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a carpal sprain to the right wrist, a 14-day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Krazy Jane with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Quinn pleaded guilty to the charge, Krazy Jane was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Saint Ray and Will Dazzle collided soon after the start. Emily Skye and Sissy Monsoon collided soon after the start. Sissy Monsoon, Saint Ray and Become The Fuse collided on the first turn, checking Become The Fuse and Will Dazzle.

MEETING COMMENTS

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Ms Mandy Shaw, the representative of Banjo Moment, regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Banjo Moment last raced on 21 April 2017. Ms Shaw stated that the greyhound had changed kennel. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Banjo Moment trialled over the 390m from box one, weight 31.4kg, the greyhound was placed first in a field of four. The time of the trial was 22.38, the greyhound won by a margin of 3.75L. Banjo Moment was cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Murrabit Benny trialled over the 390m from box three, weight 29.1kg, the greyhound was placed fourth in a field of four. The time of the trial was 22.38, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 16L. Murrabit Benny was cleared.
