A pre-race sample was taken from Ah Sugar Sugar.
Tijuana Icon, Trim City and Khaleesi Girl were quick to begin. In Dees Genes, Ah Sugar Sugar and My Names Schultz collided approaching the first turn, checking In Dee Genes and Ah Sugar Sugar. In Dee Genes and My Names Schultz collided on the first turn, checking In Dee Genes. Trim City checked off Khaleesi Girl approaching the home turn. Tijuana Icon and Khaleesi Girl collided in the home straight. Khaleesi Girl crossed in approaching the winning post and collided with Tijuana Icon on several occasions.
Khaleesi Girl was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mr.T.Cortese, the representative of Khaleesi Girl regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the winning post. After taking evidence from Mr. Cortese, acting on their own observations and viewing the official video film, the Stewards were of the view that the head-on footage corroborated their opinion that Khaleesi Girl and Tijuana Icon collided several times approaching the winning post. Stewards took no action in the matter.
