Steward's Report
Doorkeeper was a late scratching at 12.42pm due to illness (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.
A pre race sample was taken from Uno Fabio.
Smashing Serena was quick to begin. Crackerjack Tags, Saltbush Bill and Uno Fabio collided soon after the start, checking Saltbush Bill. Crackerjack Tags checked off Uno Fabio approaching the first turn. Saltbush Bill and Magic Vogue collided entering the home straight and again in the home straight. Magic Vogue cramped in the home straight, colliding with and checking Dyna Ianto as a result.
Magic Vogue was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound cramped. No stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Ms M Mallia Magri, the handler of the greyhound Magic Vogue. Acting in accordance with GAR 71 (Cramp), Stewards directed that the greyhound must perform a Satisfactory Trial before any future nomination will be accepted.
