Stewards spoke to Mr. Keith Kelly, trainer of Octo Flash and advised him to ensure that his mobile telephone is switched off whilst handling his greyhounds.

Handler Ms Verity Cotton notified Stewards that she had began to retrieve the incorrect greyhound from its kennel before realising her error. Stewards reminded Ms Cotton of her responsibilities in regards this matter. Kennel attendant Amber Chilcott was referred to Club Management.

Zipping Gallon was slow to begin.  Mesmerized, Shawnee Jaguar and My American Girl collided approaching the first turn.  Dyna Adria, Stevie Jane, Staying In Paris and Slew Left collided on the first turn, severely checking Staying In Paris and Slew Left.  Dyna Adria checked off Shawnee Jaguar approaching the home turn.

Slew Left was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Staying In Paris was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained spike wounds to the 3rd digit on the right hind leg.  No stand down period was imposed.

Final Punch and Kid Lavros were slow to begin.  Chase To Wyn and Secret's Out collided soon after the start, checking Chase To Wyn.  Come On Enzo and Aeroplane Indy collided approaching the first turn, checking Come On Enzo.  Come On Enzo checked off Aeroplane Indy on the first turn.  Chase To Wyn, Secret's Out and Zipping Shika collided on the first turn, checking Secret's Out and Zipping Shika.  Secret's Out and Zipping Shika collided approaching the home turn.  Chase To Wyn checked off Come On Enzo in the home straight.

Maramba and Pius Thicknesse were slow to begin and collided soon after the start, checking Maramba.  Pius Thicknesse, Rowchester Miss, Destini Jaguar and Dyna Zeni collided approaching the first turn, checking Destini Jaguar.  Mickie Raven checked off Cherokee Thunder on the first turn, checking Pius Thicknesse, Dyna Zeni and  Rowchester Miss.  Destini Jaguar contacted the running rail on the first turn and lost ground as a result.  Dyna Zeni checked off Mickie Raven approaching the home turn, checking Pius Thicknesse, Rowchester Miss and Maramba, causing Maramba to race wide as a result.

Destini Jaguar was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a lacerated tail, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Sassy Sultana checked off Dyna Sarah approaching the home turn.  Knocker's Gold and Miss Blue collided on the home turn.

Axel's A Rebel, Bombora Thunder and Mahjohn Heat were slow to begin.  Axel's A Rebel checked off Bombora Thunder approaching the first turn, checking Mahjong Heat.  Dyna Winkler galloped on the heels of Vixstar approaching the home turn, checking Dyna Winkler and Axel's A Rebel.  Mahjong Heat checked Dyna Winkler approaching the home turn.  Bombora Thunder raced wide in the home straight.  Blackjack Cruise eased in the home straight and collided with Pat Malone.

Bombora Thunder was vetted after a fall in the catching pen.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mrs A Panetta, the trainer of the greyhound  Blackjack Cruise regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight.  Blackjack Cruise was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained spike wounds to the left hind leg.  No stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Blackjack Cruise with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mrs Panetta pleaded guilty to the charge, Blackjack Cruise was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted

Mahjong Heat was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left shoulder, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Doorkeeper was a late scratching at 12.42pm due to illness (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. 

A pre race sample was taken from Uno Fabio.

Smashing Serena was quick to begin.  Crackerjack Tags, Saltbush Bill and Uno Fabio collided soon after the start, checking Saltbush Bill.  Crackerjack Tags checked off Uno Fabio approaching the first turn.  Saltbush Bill and Magic Vogue collided entering the home straight and again in the home straight.  Magic Vogue cramped in the home straight, colliding with and checking  Dyna Ianto as a result.

Magic Vogue was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound cramped.  No stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Ms M Mallia Magri, the handler of the greyhound Magic Vogue.  Acting in accordance with GAR 71 (Cramp), Stewards directed that the greyhound must perform a Satisfactory Trial before any future nomination will be accepted.

Mr. J. Collins, kennel representative of Fonty Allen declared a new weight of 32.6kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Fonty Allen last raced at 33.8kg.

Mr. J. Stemmer, trainer of Harambe's Might declared a new weight of 35.9kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Harambe's Might last raced at 33.9kg.

A pre race sample was taken from Mahjong Baby.

Mav, Fonty Allen, Anustar and Glen Mika were slow to begin.  Mav, Fonty Allen and Anustar collided soon after the start, checking Fonty Allen.  Dum Didee Dum and Mahjong Baby collided approaching the first turn, severely checking Mahjong Baby which faltered and tailed off as a result.  Fonty Allen checked off Anustar on the first turn.  Mav and Dum Didee Dum collided approaching the home turn.  Glen Mika checked off Harambe's Might on the home turn.
