A pre-race sample was taken from Oaklands.
Fiesty Ivy and Thunder Of Night were quick to begin. Roland View, Oaklands, Knock About and Hello Nimble were slow to begin. Roland View checked off Krav Maga approaching the first turn. Krav Maga contacted the running rail on the first turn. Scooby Boy and Knock About collided approaching the home turn checking Scooby Boy. Scooby Boy and Knock About collided on the home turn checking both greyhounds. Scooby Boy crossed to the outside in the home straight checking Knock About and Hello Nimble. Scooby Boy, Knock About and Hello Nimble raced wide in the home straight.
Krav Maga was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Nicholl, the trainer of Krav Maga via telephone and reminded him of his responsibilities in ensuring he checks the clearance to leave the course sheet before leaving the course following the event, pursuant to GAR 42(2).
