Steward's Report
Shotgun Shiloh and Chapta Lee were quick to begin. Elphaba Oz and Taxing were slow to begin. Chapta Lee and Valhalla Girl collided approaching the first turn. Chapta Lee and Like My Sis collided approaching the first turn checking Like My Sis. Mahjong Prince and Taxing collided on the first turn checking Taxing. Elphaba Oz and Mahjong Prince collided on the first turn checking Elphaba Oz. Chapta Lee and Valhalla Girl collided approaching the home turn checking Chapta Lee. Valhalla Girl faltered in the home straight and lost considerable ground. Mahjong Prince raced wide in the home straight.
Stewards noted that the semaphore board incorrectly displayed this event as Race 1 instead of Race 2. All times and placings displayed on the semaphore board were correct for Race 2.
Valhalla Girl was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right fibula. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Van Oirschot, the trainer of Valhalla Girl and advised him that due to the injury sustained by the greyhound no further action will be taken.
