Ace Diamond and Tory's Rocket collided soon after the start.  Good One Carl checked off Reality Sail approaching the first turn.  Oh Cee Dee, Ace Diamond and Tory's Rocket collided on the first turn checking Ace Diamond and Tory's Rocket.  Reality Sail galloped on Flying Away approaching the home turn checking Reality Sail.  Hypo Chared, Good One Carl and Reality Sail collided on the home turn.  Oh Cee Dee crossed out on the home turn severely checking Tory's Rocket and causing Hypo Chared and Reality Sail to collide.

Stewards spoke to Mr S Elsum, the trainer of Fast Trapper regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Fast Trapper last raced on 17 August 2017 and is returning to racing following a right shoulder injury. 

Violet Sky and Trinity Kid were quick to begin.

Violet Sky and Fast Trapper collided soon after the start.  Yabbie Chad and Romany Girl collided soon after the start checking Romany Girl.  Yabbie Chad checked off Romany Girl approaching the first turn.  Miss Cheekiness and Romany Girl collided approaching the first turn.  Violet Sky and Trinity Kid collided on the first turn checking Violet Sky.  Miss Cheekiness raced wide approaching the home turn checking Romany Girl and causing Romany Girl to race wide.  Miss Cheekiness, Yabbie Chad and Romany Girl raced wide in the home straight.

Dee Final Siren checked off Betwixt soon after the start.  Poppy's Way and Whiney Whine collided approaching the first turn checking Whiney Whine.  Betwixt contacted the running rail approaching the first turn, then lost ground and tailed off.  Darcon Flash and Still Quick collided on the first turn checking Darcon Flash which raced wide.  Dee Final Siren raced wide on the first turn.  My Girl Josiah checked off Whiney Whine entering the back straight.  Darcon Flash raced wide in the back straight.

Betwixt was vetted following the event.  It was reported that that the greyhound sustained a left calf injury and a laceration to the left hind medial tibia, a 21 day stand dwon period was imposed.

The Club Veterinary Surgeon examined Calabrese Bullet and no illness was detected. The greyhound was a late scratching at 5:35pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Ms D White was fined the sum of $100.

Buckle Up Spud and Elle Gazelle collided on the first turn checking Buckle Up Spud.  Buckle Up Spud and Golden Gun collided entering the home straight.

Buckle Up Spud was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left triangle injury, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

My Redeemer was quick to begin.  Parie Shiraz and Sweet Sparkle were slow to begin.

Ratajkowski crossed to the rail soon after the start.  Sweet Sparkle and Midgey collided approaching the first turn.  Dutch Legacy, Mighty Josiah and Polite Request collided approaching the first turn checking Polite Request and Midgey.  Parie Shiraz raced wide on the first turn.  Dutch Legacy, Mighty Josiah and Midgey collided on the first turn checking all three greyhounds.  Dutch Legacy checked off Parie Shiraz entering the home straight.

Leading The Way was quick to begin.  All About Corey and Midnight Marzy were slow to begin.

Wild Hunny, Hands To Myself and Doc's Reward collided approaching the first turn checking Wild Hunny, All About Corey and Midnight Marzy, Midnight Marzy raced wide as result.  Nareen and All About Corey collided on the first turn.

Chinookan Blue and Downing Street collided soon after the start checking Downing Street.  Memphis Sky and Chinookan Blue collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds and causing both to race wide as a result.  Matty Mateusz, Alina Grand and Miss Hanna Berry collided on the first turn checking Alina Grand and severely checking Miss Hanna Berry which fell with the muzzle becoming dislodged.  Matty Mateusz and Aston Groucho collided on the third turn.  Chinookan Blue veered out and marred Alina Grand approaching the home turn.

Miss Hanna Berry was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left monkey muscle injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Chinookan Blue was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr I. Dann, the trainer of the greyhound Chinookan Blue regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Chinookan Blue with marring. Mr Dann pleaded not guilty to the charge, Chinookan Blue was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Cranbourne and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Blackhaven was a late scratching at 2:41pm due to injury (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.

Small Rose was quick to begin.  Light The Track and Meehan Sox were slow to begin. Light The Track and Meehan Sox collided in the back straight and again on the third turn checking Light The Track.  Small Rose and Reckoning collided entering the home straight. 

Reckoning was vetted after a fall in the catching pen.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained abrasions to the right hind foot and left hind sand toe, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr M Biggins the trainer of Tiger Rising regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Tiger Rising last raced on 13 September 2017 and is returning to racing after being on season.

Boopa Doop Girl and Burnsy's Sam collided approaching the first turn checking Burnsy's Sam.  Tiger Rising checked off Boopa Doop Girl on the first turn.  What Stopping Ya raced wide approaching the home turn and again on the home turn.  Burnsy's Sam raced wide on the home turn.  Tiger Rising raced wide in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mr A Norris the trainer of Emily's Kitty regarding the withdrawal of the greyhound from this event.  Mr Norris stated the greyhound sustained a left shoulder injury on the 30th of December 2017 after a training accident. Stewards directed that the greyhound be presented for a veterinary examination at the Sandown meeting on Thursday 4/1/18 pursuant to GAR 23(3)
