A pre-race sample was taken from Still Quick.
Poppy's Way and Whiney Whine were quick to begin. Darcon Flash was slow to begin.
Dee Final Siren checked off Betwixt soon after the start. Poppy's Way and Whiney Whine collided approaching the first turn checking Whiney Whine. Betwixt contacted the running rail approaching the first turn, then lost ground and tailed off. Darcon Flash and Still Quick collided on the first turn checking Darcon Flash which raced wide. Dee Final Siren raced wide on the first turn. My Girl Josiah checked off Whiney Whine entering the back straight. Darcon Flash raced wide in the back straight.
Betwixt was vetted following the event. It was reported that that the greyhound sustained a left calf injury and a laceration to the left hind medial tibia, a 21 day stand dwon period was imposed.
