Steward's Report
Subconscious was quick to begin. Hyper Jet and Vanda Mick were slow to begin.
Vanda Mick and Ultimate Impulse collided soon after the start, checking Ultimate Impulse and Silver Roo. Hyper Jet and Ultimate Impulse collided approaching the first turn, checking Ultimate Impulse. Evil Pedro raced wide in the back straight. Rave On and Talbragar River collided approaching the home turn, checking Talbragar River and Hyper Jet. Silver Roo checked off Talbragar River early in the home straight.
Ultimate Impulse was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right pectineus (groin) muscle and an abrasion to the left hind foot. A three-day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards issued a warning to Ms Kathryn Bentley, the trainer of Ultimate Impulse, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the first turn.
