Steward's Report
The all clear was delayed for this event to view the photo finish print for third and fourth placegetters. After viewing the official video film, Stewards gave the all clear on the judges numbers 4-5-2-3.
A pre-race sample was taken from Wishing Angel.
Moore Of Moore and Kev's Choice collided soon after the start. Jupiter Ascending, Moore Of Moore, Kev's Choice and Soon Now collided at the 300mtr mark. Jupiter Ascending and Soon Now collided at the 200mtr mark. Jupiter Ascending crossed to the outside approaching the 150mtr mark severely checking Soon Now.
It was reported to Stewards that the greyhound Wishing Angel did not have a catcher in this event. Stewards interviewed licenced catcher Miss M. Boyle who was engaged by Trainer Mr. F. Tasca. Stewards found Miss Boyle in breach of GAR 48 in that she failed to fulfill her catching engagement. Miss Boyle pleaded guilty to the charge and was fined the sum of $100.
