A trial of the GRV-endorsed ISO-LYNX real-time tracking system was conducted throughout today's racing program. All race rugs used today were fitted with a location tracking beacon as part of this trial.

Zoro Bale and Dutch Legacy were quick to begin. Zipping Archie and Shining Glitter were slow to begin. 

Zipping Archie, Sisco Ride and Zipping Chaser collided on the first turn, severely checking Sisco Ride and Zipping Chaser. Zipping Archie and Shining Glitter collided approaching the second turn.

A sample was taken from Zoro Bale, the winner of the event. 

A pre race sample was taken from Dashing Dino.

Dashing Dino was slow to begin.

Zipping Nitro, Stay Forever and Rocketing Ruby collided soon after the start, checking Stay Forever. Avalon Sisco and Aldrich collided on the first turn and again several times to the second turn. Zipping Nitro and Rocketing Ruby collided on the home turn. 

Impala, Ursula Bale and Loch Eddie collided soon after the start. Impala and Loch Eddie collided on the first turn. Stormy Seas and Impala collided on the first turn. Stormy Seas and Ursula Bale collided on the second turn, checking Ursula Bale. Impala and Fess Crockett collided on the third turn. Loch Eddie checked off Impala on the third turn. Stormy Seas and Ursula Bale collided several times in the home straight. 

Stormy Seas was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained soreness to the left hind sartorius and triangle muscles and a right shoulder injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. 

Stewards issued a warning to Miss Lori Courts, the kennel representative of Stormy Seas regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. 

Annie Lava, Gomez Sanchez, Rancette and Bolton Blue were quick to begin. 

Annie Lava and Beejay's Lad collided soon after the start. Annie Lava and Rancette collided on the first turn. Loch Monster galloped on Shady Buck on the first turn. Loch Monster checked off Shady Buck on the second turn. Gomez Sanchez and Werner Bale collided on the third turn, checking Gomez Sanchez. Annie Lava checked off Werner Bale on the third turn. Annie Lava and Bolton Blue collided in the home straight. 

Werner Bale was vetted following a fall in the catching pen. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. 

Shady Buck was vetted following a fall in the catching pen. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a laceration to the left fore foot. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. 

A pre race sample was taken from Shy Freddie.

Benny The Jet was quick to begin. Shy Freddie, All About Corey and Tiger Dusty were slow to begin. 

Destini Florida and Rirtakki collided on the first turn. Benny The Jet and Rirtakki collided entering the back straight. All About Corey galloped on El Grand Knocka entering the back straight. Tiger Dusty checked off Shy Freddie on the home turn. Benny The Jet and El Grand Knocka collided on the home turn.

All Inn Amy and Dyna Dean were quick to begin. Happy Tails and Ninth Brigade collided soon after the start and again on the first turn. Ninth Brigade and Thomas Dee collided on the first turn. Happy Tails and Ninth Brigade collided on the first turn. Happy Tails checked off Ninth Brigade on the first turn.

Clovalley Arnie, Zipping Captain and Hillside Lady were quick to begin. 

Mepunga Gal and Bronelly Jet collided soon after the start. Clovalley Arnie and Bronelly Jet collided on the first turn. Bronelly Jet contacted the running rail on the first turn, severely checking Bronelly Jet. 

Bronelly Jet was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the left hock. No stand down period was imposed.

Snoop Junior, Heartbreak Hotel, Zero Whispers were quick to begin. 

Snoop Junior and Proven Legacy collided soon after the start. Kwazii checked off Proven Legacy soon after the start and collided with All Inn Together. Proven Legacy and Aston Frankel collided on the first turn, checking Proven Legacy. Aston Frankel and Zero Whispers collided several times on the first turn. Snoop Junior and Dyna Aviator collided on the first turn. All In Together and Kwazii collided on the first turn. Proven Legacy checked off Zero Whispers approaching the second turn. Proven Legacy faded approaching the third turn. Heartbreak Hotel tired in the home stright. 

Proven Legacy was vetted and re-vetted following Race 11. It was reported that the greyhound sustained sorness to the left pectoral muscle. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. 

Heartbreak Hotel was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained sorness to both shoulders. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

The start was delayed by approx. one and a half minutes due to a Port Lincoln thoroughbred race being run behind schedule.

Miss Hanna Berry was quick to begin. Eliza Dee and Varuchi Pass were slow to begin and collided soon after the start. Kruzin' Cripps and Mepunga Debbie collided approaching the first turn. Tahleia Brae and Varuchi Pass collided on the first turn. Kruzin' Cripps and Mepunga Debbie collided on the first turn, checking Mepunga Debbie. Miss Hanna Berry and Huge Allen collided on the home turn. 

A sample was taken from Varuchi Pass, the winner of the event. 

A pre race sample was taken from Just Nimble It.

Jemma's Fantasy was quick to begin. Louie Allen and Magic Will were slow to begin.

Perfect Nature and No Excuse collided soon after the start. No Excuse, Louie Allen, Jemma's Fantasy, King Colt and Magic Will collided on the first turn, checking Louie Allen and Magic Will; Louie Allen fell as a result. No Excuse and Jemma's Fantasy collided on the second turn.

Louie Allen was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. 

The racing surface on the first turn was inspected by Stewards after Louie Allen fell in that vicinity. The track was deemed safe and fit for racing to continue.

Bekim Fire and Marodo were slow to begin. 

Betty La Fae and Manhattan Man collided approaching the first turn. Dewana Interest and Marodo collided on the first turn. Betty La Fae, Manhattan Man and Dewana Interest collided on the first turn, checking Betty La Fae, Manhattan Man, Dewana Interest and Marodo. Bekim Fire and Patty's Prince collided on the home turn. 

Betty La Fae was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained mild sorness to both pectoral muscles and left sartorius muscle. A 5 day stand down period was imposed 

Maestro Destini was quick to begin. Cosmic Kilby and Berridale Buddie were slow to begin. Cosmic Kilby, Berridale Buddie and No Permit collided soon after the start. Arizona, Crackerjack Roy, No Permit and Emio Bale collided on the first turn, checking No Permit and Arizona. Maestro Destini and So Funny collided on the first turn. Maestro Destini faltered approaching the second turn and subsequently pulled up. No Permit and Emio Bale collided approaching the winning post. 

Maestro Destini was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a partial tear to the right back muscle. A 60 day stand down period was imposed. 

MEETING COMMENTS:

Trainer, Mr John Galea presented Sisco Yes for a re-vetting after incurring a 21 day stand down period from the Shepparton race-meeting held on 30 October 2017. At the time of this examination, Sisco Yes was deemed fit to race. As such the previously imposed incapacitation period was lifted and expired immediately. A urine sample was taken for further analysis. 

Satisfactory Trial Results-

Mahaya trialled over the 525m from box 1, weight 28.0kgs , the greyhound was placed 5th in a field 5. The time of the trial was 30.82, the greyhound beaten by a margin of 33L. Mahaya was not cleared. Mahaya was vetted following the trial. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right back muscle tear, a right shoulder injury and soreness to the right sartorius muscle. A 60 day stand down period was imposed. 

Milly's Choice trialled over the 525m from box 4, weight 28.6kgs, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 5. The time of the trial was 30.82, the greyhound beaten by a margin of 3.25L. Milly's Choice was cleared.
