Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Ms. P. Triaca, the representive of Cozzi regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Cozzi last raced on 12th July 2017. Ms. Triaca stated that the greyhound was returning from a toe injury and a spell. Ms. Triaca also declared a new weight of 32.4kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Cozzi last raced at 30.7kg.
A pre-race sample was taken from Silver Banjo.
Cozzi was slow to begin. Lost Blue, Swift Spur and Silver Banjo collided approaching the first turn. Riverdale Tarzan and Cozzi collided approaching the first turn. Cosmic Lachy, Lost Blue, Silver Banjo and Swift Spur collided on the first turn checking Swift Spur which fell and severely checking Cosmic Lachy which lost ground. Silver Banjo and Lost Blue collided approaching the home turn.
Swift Spur was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left hamstring. A stand down period of 7 days was imposed.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Kantzidis, the trainer of Lilly Of Laguna regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Lilly Of Laguna last raced on 15th November 2016. Mr. Kantzidis stated that the greyhound was returning from a right wrist and stopper injury. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Lilly Of Laguna trialled over the 425mts from box 1, weight 26.9kg, the greyhound was placed 1 in a field of 5. The time of the trial was 24.75, the greyhound won by a margin of 1.75L. Lilly Of Laguna was cleared.
Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Ms. J. Fothergill, the trainer of Smart Action regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Smart Action last raced on 4th April 2017. Ms. Fothergill stated that the greyhound was returning after a change of kennels. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Smart Action trialled over the 425mts from box 3, weight 32.8kg, the greyhound was placed 3rd in a field of 5. The time of the trial was 24.75, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 2L. Smart Action was not cleared.
Satisfactory Trial Results - Lord Flash Heart trialled over the 425mt from box 4, weight 30.5kg, the greyhound was placed 5th in a field of 5. The time of the trial was 24.75, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 6.25L. Lord Flash Heart was not cleared.

Lady La Deeda last raced on 5th December 2016. Mr. Kantzidis stated that the greyhound was returning from a right wrist and stopper injury. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Lady La Deeda trialled over the 425mts from box 8, weight 28.5kg, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 5. The time of the trial was 24.75, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 1.75L. Lady La Deeda was cleared.
Smart Action was vetted following a stisfactory trial. No apparent injury was found.
Lord Flash Heart was vetted following a satisfactory trial. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left backmuscle. A stand down period of 28 days was imposed.
Stewards spoke to lure driver, Mr S.Courts, in relation to the position of the lure in the home straight. Stewards referred this matter to Mr R.Matthews.
