Steward's Report

Stewards spoke to Mr P Gabriel, the trainer of Bigshow Jethro regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Bigshow Jethro last race on 8 August, 2017. Mr Gabriel stated that the reason for not racing was a right toe injury.

Sturridge was slow to begin. Scanez Jewel and Gunnewin collided soon after the start. Crymelon Fettle, Gunnewin and Sturridge collided approaching the first turn. Sturridge and Call Me Deita collided approaching the first turn checking Call Me Deita. Sturridge and Gunnewin collided on the first turn, checking Gunnewin. Crymelon Fettle raced wide in the home straight.

Crymelon Fettle was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the left hind pads. A stand down period of 6 days was imposed.

Gunnewin was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Call Me Deita was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
