Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Tiger Dusty upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.
Handpass was quick to begin. Tiger Dusty was slow to begin. Winnie Allen and Iron Anda collided soon after the start. Shayna Powers and Belle Deity collided soon after the start. Shayna Powers and Belle Deity collided on the first turn. Winnie Allen and Shayna Powers collided several times on the first turn. Dyna Gavin and Hi Ho Geronimo collided on the first turn. Iron Anda and Tiger Dusty collided on the first turn. Hi Ho Geronimo galloped on the heels of Belle Deity on the third turn. Hi Ho Geronimo fell as a result. Winnie Allen shifted out and inconvenienced Iron Anda approaching the home turn. Tiger Dusty and Belle Deity collided on the home turn.
Hi Ho Geronimo was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Winnie Allen was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right calf, right back muscle and right hamstrings, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Ms C. Heinrich, the Kennel Representitive of Winnie Allen. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Winnie Allen with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Ms Heinrich pleaded guilty to the charge, Winnie Allen was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
