Slingshot Maxi and Slingshot Gypsy were quick to begin. Yanly Bale was slow to begin. Slingshot Maxi stumbled and tailed off due to injury soon after the start. Serendipity Gem checked off Yanly Bale on the first turn. Ball Of Steel and Serendipity Gem collided on the first turn.
Slingshot Maxi was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left back muscle. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
