Slingshot Sambo was quick to begin. Weeona Dino and Marcling were slow to begin. Weeona Dino checked off Tai Chi Mini soon after the start. Master Reid and Dyna Hinkley collided soon after the start. Marcling checked off Weeona Dino soon after the start. Dyna Hinkley checked off Tuscan Dream on the first turn. Galloping Leo galloped on the heels of Tuscan Dream on the first turn causing Galloping Leo to fall; Marcling was checked as a result. Weeona Dino and Tai Chi Mini collided in the home straight.
Galloping Leo was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left triangle muscle. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
