Steward's Report
Spinner Bait – Late scratching at 1:19pm due to non–arrival (GAR 86 and LR 39). A 28 day stand down period was imposed. Mr M.Davis informed Stewards that he had a vehicle breakdown on–route to the track. Stewards advised Mr Davis that evidence of the breakdown will need to be submitted, to the satisfaction of Stewards, within 72 hours of the occurrence that caused the non–arrival. The matter will be re–evaluated upon receipt of this evidence.
Supplementary Report – 5/12/24: The 28 day stand down was removed from Spinner Bait after Mr Davis provided Stewards with sufficient evidence of the vehicle breakdown.
Classy Willow and Nana's Rebel were slow to begin. Nana's Rebel, Jilliby Millie and Seven Of Nine raced wide in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Representative Mr J.Caulfield regarding Nana's Rebel’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Nana's Rebel was charged with marring. Mr Caulfield pleaded guilty to the charge. Nana's Rebel was found guilty and suspended for 28 days (1st offence) at Bendigo and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Jilliby Millie underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right wrist injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Representative Ms K.Collyer regarding Jilliby Millie’s racing manners on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Jilliby Millie was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Ms K.Collyer pleaded guilty to the charge. Jilliby Millie was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
