A pre-race sample was taken from Lakeview Lyn.
Spring Bomber and Meehan Sox were slow to begin. Lakeview Lyn and Lady Spur collided soon after the start. Rapanui Reveller and Newfire Drewie collided soon after the start. Rapanui Reveller, Newfire Drewie, Lakeview Lyn and Lady Spur collided approaching the first turn checking Rapanui Reveller, Lakeview Lyn, Lady Spur and Meehan Sox. Lady Spur raced wide approaching the second turn. Rapanui Reveller checked off Newfire Drewie on the second turn. Newfire Drewie brushed the running rail on the third turn. Newfire Drewie and Meehan Sox collided on the home turn checking Newfire Drewie. Lakeview Lyn lost ground over the concluding stages of the event.
Lakeview Lyn was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
