Stewards spoke to D. White, the trainer of Andy's Gem regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Andy's Gem last raced on 4 May 2017 and is returning after a change of kennels and a seasonal spell.

Peninsula Lady and Belleperi Miss collided soon after the start.  Peninsula Lady, Flying Rose and Baloney Bill collided approaching the first turn.  Belleperi Miss checked off Mia Crazy approaching the home turn.  I'm Neegan checked off Andy's Gem approaching the home turn checking Andy's Gem.  Baloney Bill raced wide on the home turn.

Andy's Gem was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Ballistic Gem was slow to begin.

So easy and Belron Bliss collided soon after the start.  Santana checked off Belron Bliss approaching the first turn.  Aston Lebron and Bowon Approach collided on the first turn.  Gala Rose, Bowon Approach, Silver Roo and Belron Bliss collided on the first turn checking Gala Rose and Silver Roo.  Silver Roo failed to pursue the lure with due commitment on the home turn and collided with Gala Rose.  Santana, Gala Rose and Silver Roo collided entering the home straight.  Silver Roo failed to pursue the lure with due commitment in the home straight and collided several times with Gala Rose checking both greyhounds.  Aston Lebron, So Easy and Santana raced wide in the home straight.

Silver Roo was vetted and re-vetted following event 4.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr. Jordan Formosa, the representative of the greyhound Silver Roo regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Silver Roo with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Formosa pleaded guilty to the charge, Silver Roo was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards spoke to R. Whitford, the trainer of Benny's Legend regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Benny's Legend last raced on 12 July 2017 and is returning after a spell.

Apila Cash and Beljay Galaxy collided soon after the start.  Benny's Legend, Apila Cash, Beljay Galaxy and Stitch Gun Miss collided approaching the first turn.  Crackerjack Mick and Benny's Legend collided on the first turn checking Crackerjack Mick.  Crackerjack Mick checked off Grey Grouse approaching the home turn.  Beljay Galaxy raced wide entering the home straight.

Summer Kate, Ringading Bling and Will Dazzle collided soon after the start.  Ringading Bling, Will Dazzle and Goorawin collided on the first turn causing Will Dazzle to fall checking Another Hope and Summer Kate as a result.  Galaxy Sprite, Mega Secret and Fifty Dollar collided approaching the home turn checking Galaxy Sprite and Mega Secret causing Galaxy Sprite and Ringading Bling to collided.  Galaxy Sprite and Mega Secret collided entering the home straight.

Will Dazzle was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left back muscle, left chest and elbow injuries, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Pizza Shop and Allen Zero collided soon after the start.  Pizza Shop checked off Dr. Colt approaching the first turn.  Dr. Colt checked off Spring Time Miss on the first turn checking Allen Zero causing Titanium Boy to gallop on Dr. Colt severely checking Dr. Colt and Titanium Boy.  Shall She Cindy checked off Woodleigh Sal on the first turn.  Shall She Cindy and Woodleigh Sal collided entering the home straight.

Titanium Boy was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right triangle injury, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Chase On Case was quick to begin. 

Shifty Joshua, Mr. Pendles and Dynamic Rainbow collided soon after the start checking Mr. Pendles.  Shifty Joshua checked off Clavash approaching the first turn checking Mr. Pendles.  Dynamic Rainbow and Chase On Case collided on the first turn severely checking Chase On Case and Clavash causing Bulk Cairns and Jupiter Jones to collide.  Shifty Joshua and Mr. Pendles raced wide and collided in the home straight.

Amaroo Bazinga was very slow to begin (3 lengths).

Nimble Lucy and Clear Sense collided soon after the start.  Lorna Olive and Hooded Troyer collided soon after the start, approaching the first turn and again on the first turn checking Lorna Olive.  Amaroo Bazinga and Soon Now collided on the home turn.  Nimble Lucy and Lorna Olive raced wide in the home straight.  Clear Sense and Moto Girl collided approaching the winning post.

Scarecrow Tiger, Crackerjack Cam, Zippy Lynet and Roland View were slow to begin.

Crackerjack Cam was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left wrist and left monkey muscle injury, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

How's It Burning was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left achilles tendon, left back muscle and a spike wound to the left achilles, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Who's Irod and Regas Baby collided soon after the start checking Regas Baby.  Blue Cat Wombat checked off Express Chain on the first turn.  Blue Cat Wombat and Magic Super collided on the first turn checking Magic Super.

Busta Voe and Bandit's Girls were slow to begin.

Move That Energy and Busta Voe collided on the first turn.  Spazzy Blue crossed to the rail on the first turn.  Flip and Barnie's Blaster collided approaching the home turn and again entering the home straight.

R. Floyd, trainer of Anjing Betina declared a new weight of 29.0 for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Anjing Betina last raced at 30.6.

A pre-race sample was taken from Bronelly Spike.

Magic Maldini and Hello Nimble were slow to begin.  

Vanilla Kiss and Any Other Union collided approaching the first turn.  Anjing Betina, Vanilla Kiss, Aston Salute and Hello Nimble collided on the first turn checking Vanilla Kiss and severely checking Aston Salute and Hello Nimble.  Magic Maldini lost ground on the first turn and tailed off on the home turn.  Vanilla Kiss raced wide in the home straight.

Magic Maldini was vetted and re-vetted.  It was reported that the greyhoiund sustained a left back muscle injury, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Ms T. Kennedy-Harris, the representative of the greyhound Magic Maldini.  Stewards deemed the performance of Magic Maldin unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Magic Maldin must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Meeting Comments:

Satisfactory Trial Results - Special Member trialled over the 400mtrs from box 8, weight 33.3kgs, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of four. The time of the trial was 23.35, the greyhound was beaten by 7.5 lengths. Special Member was Cleared. 

Satisfactory Trial Results - Zipping Jake trialled over the 400mtrs from box 2, weight 38.4kgs, the greyhound suffered interference on the first turn and fell. The time of the trial was 23.35. Zipping Jake was Not Cleared.

Zipping Jake was vetted following the trial.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right hock sprain, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
