Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Belron Bliss.
Ballistic Gem was slow to begin.
So easy and Belron Bliss collided soon after the start. Santana checked off Belron Bliss approaching the first turn. Aston Lebron and Bowon Approach collided on the first turn. Gala Rose, Bowon Approach, Silver Roo and Belron Bliss collided on the first turn checking Gala Rose and Silver Roo. Silver Roo failed to pursue the lure with due commitment on the home turn and collided with Gala Rose. Santana, Gala Rose and Silver Roo collided entering the home straight. Silver Roo failed to pursue the lure with due commitment in the home straight and collided several times with Gala Rose checking both greyhounds. Aston Lebron, So Easy and Santana raced wide in the home straight.
Silver Roo was vetted and re-vetted following event 4. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mr. Jordan Formosa, the representative of the greyhound Silver Roo regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Silver Roo with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Formosa pleaded guilty to the charge, Silver Roo was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
