Steward's Report
An Out of Competition Sample was taken from Fool Proof engaged in this event on 16 October 2017 pursuant to GAR 79A.
This event was rescheduled to race at 9.02pm.
A pre-race sample was taken from Caco Potion.
John John Lava and Inequity were slow to begin.
Destroyer and Fool Proof collided on the first turn. Sharp Diamond and Destroyer collided on the first turn checking John John Lava, Sharp Diamond contacted the running rail. Thomas Dee checked off Inequity on the second turn. Destroyer and Fool Proof collided approaching the third turn. Sharp Diamond and Thomas Dee collided approaching the third turn. Destroyer and Fool Proof collided entering the back straight. John John Lava and Inequity collided on the fourth turn checking both greyhounds.
Sharp Diamond was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained muscle soreness to the left deltoid and right trapezius and a spike wound to the left hind, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards issued a warning to Mr B. Keel, the handler of Sharp Diamond regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the third turn.
