Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr Robert Martin, the trainer of Tye Me Chopper, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Tye Me Chopper last raced on 1 July 2017. Mr Martin stated that the greyhound was resuming racing following an extended spell.
Stewards spoke to Mr Rodney Millington, the trainer of Spirited Bingle, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Spirited Bingle last raced on 5 September 2017. Mr Millington stated that the greyhound was resuming racing following an injury to the left metatarsal.
A pre-race sample was taken from Chase The Nugget.
Vectis Campinae was slow to begin. Vectis Campinae checked off Destini Radar soon after the start. Chase The Nugget checked off Destini Radar approaching the first turn. Destini Radar checked off St Pauli approaching the first turn. Tye Me Chopper checked off Avatar Vixen approaching the first turn and collided with Spirited Bingle, checking Tye Me Chopper and Spirited Bingle and causing both greyhounds to race wide.
