Pursuant to GAR 104 (6) starter Mr Michael Craig did not act in any official capacity for this event; Mr Ryan Johnson was appointed starter for this race.
A pre-race sample was taken from Superior Scotch.
Jupiter Asending, Major Blast and Parie Shiraz were slow to begin.
Major Blast and Bye Bye Boy collided soon after the start. Jupiter Asending crossed to the outside soon after the start and collided with Bye Bye Boy and Major Blast. Maximum Joan and Superior Scotch collided several times from the 300m mark to the 250m mark, checking Maximum Joan. Parie Shiraz and Maximum Joan collided at the 150m mark.
Bye Bye Boy was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained shin soreness in the right foreleg. A 14-day stand down period was imposed.
