Steward's Report
Gotta Sideshow was a late scratching at 6:07pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr. G. Harding was fined the sum of $100.
Stewards spoke to Mr. W. Elson, the trainer of Mate regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Mate last raced on 9th June, 2017. Mr. Elson stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after a spell.
Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Julian, the handler of Show Bag Carter regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Show Bag Carter last raced on 12th August, 2017. Mr. Julian stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after a spell. Mr. Julian also delared a new weight of 29.2kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Show Bag Carter last raced at 30.6kgs.
Daintree Teacake was slow to begin. Like Her Mum, Clovalley Rang, Become The Fuse and Mate collided on the first turn checking Become The Fuse and Mate and severely checking Clovalley Rang; Clovalley Rang tailed off as a result. Show Bag Carter checked off Like Her Mum approaching the home turn.
Clovalley Rang was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right sesamoid. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
