Santana and Light The Track were slow to begin. Pee Dee faltered on the first turn causing Light The Track to clip the heels of Pee Dee, Pee Dee subsequently pulled up. Santana lost ground on the second turn. Don't Trust galloped on Kate's Intention in the back straight checking Kate's Intention. Santana raced wide in the back straight and the home straight.
Pee Dee was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right monkey muscle, a 28 day stand down period was imposed.
Kate's Intention was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no injury apparent.
Santana was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no injury apparent. Trainer Mr. G. Tatti declined his option to have his greyhound re-vetted.
Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Tatti the trainer of the greyhound Santana. Stewards deemed the performance of Santana unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71 Stewards directed that Santana must perform a satisfactory trial all tracks before any future nomination will be accepted.
