Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr Mark Delbridge, trainer of City And Colour, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. City And Colour last raced on 23 May 2017. Mr Delbridge stated that the greyhound was resuming racing following a left achilles injury.
Mr Fikri Kadir, trainer of Van Damm, declared a new weight of 32.0 kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Van Damm last raced at 33.5 kgs.
A pre-race sample was taken from Big End.
Merl's Angel and Bobby Tokaam were slow to begin. Oscar and City And Colour collided soon after the start. Magic Reindeer and Oscar collided soon after the start. Oscar and City And Colour collided approaching the first turn, checking City And Colour. Big End and Taarie Bale collided on the first turn, checking Taarie Bale.
