We Wish and Landmark were slow to begin. Landmark and Good Odds Jet collided soon after the start, checking Good Odds Jet. Penny Worth and Bide Time collided on the first turn, checking Bide Time. Bide Time, We Wish and Sub Zero Magic collided on the first turn, checking Sub Zero Magic. Marlow's Angel and Shades Of Sassy collided approaching the home turn. Good Odds Jet raced wide on the home turn. Landmark raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight. Shades Of Sassy faded approaching the winning post.
Shades Of Sassy was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mr Correy Grenfell, the handler of the greyhound Shades Of Sassy. Stewards deemed the performance of Shades Of Sassy unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Shades Of Sassy must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
