Tiggerlong Cruz and Tullabung Betty were quick to begin. Osakalaka was slow to begin.
Shanlyn Percy and Garick Olivander collided soon after the start. Ishmy Girl and Crackerjack Choc collided approaching the first turn. Osakalaka severely contacted the running rail on the first turn. Garick Olivander, Ishmy Girl, Crackerjack Choc and Erupt Eve Lad collided approaching the second turn checking Garick Olivander, Crackerjack Choc and severely checking Ishmy Girl and Erupt Eve Lad. Tiggerlong Cruz and Tullabung Betty collided on the secound turn checking both greyhounds and causing both to race wide as result. Ishmy Girl galloped on Erupt Eve Lad in the back straight. Tiggerlong Cruz raced wide in the back straight. Garick Olivander checked off Osakalaka on the third turn checking Garick Olivander and Crackerjack Choc.
