Steward's Report
Ruby Ohara was a late scratching at 4.30pm after the trainer (Mrs M. Schmidt) contacted stewards and advised that the greyhound had escaped her property just prior to her travelling to the track. Stewards advised Mrs Schmidt that a veterinary certificate will be required before any future nomination will be accepted.
Pancake was slow to begin.
Seminole Wind and Fernando Express collided soon after the start. Nice Work checked off Miss Judge approaching the first turn. Dr. Mortikye and Miss Judge collided approaching the first turn. Dr. Paulina raced wide on the first turn. Pancake checked off Miss Judge on the second turn causing Pancake to lose ground. Pancake and Dr. Paulina collided in the back straight checking Pancake. Dr. Paulina raced ericaite on the home turn. Seminole Wind and Nice Work collided approaching the winning post.
Dr. Paulina was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
