Ruby Ohara was a late scratching at 4.30pm after the trainer (Mrs M. Schmidt) contacted stewards and advised that the greyhound had escaped her property just prior to her travelling to the track. Stewards advised Mrs Schmidt that a veterinary certificate will be required before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Pancake was slow to begin.

Seminole Wind and Fernando Express collided soon after the start.  Nice Work checked off Miss Judge approaching the first turn.  Dr. Mortikye and Miss Judge collided approaching the first turn.  Dr. Paulina raced wide on the first turn.  Pancake checked off Miss Judge on the second turn causing Pancake to lose ground.  Pancake and Dr. Paulina collided in the back straight checking Pancake.  Dr. Paulina raced ericaite on the home turn.  Seminole Wind and Nice Work collided approaching the winning post.

Dr. Paulina was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Spyfection was quick to begin.  Light The Track, Don't Trust and Whitney Showgirl were slow to begin.

Light The Track and Don't Trust collided on the first turn.  Don't Trust raced wide in the front straight.  Sublime News and Dundee Tango collided on the third turn checking Sublime News and Light The Track.  Dundee Tango and Slinky Inky collided approaching the winning post.

Destini Seahorse and Zipping Vito collided approaching the first turn.  Destini Seahorse and Seven Two collided on the first turn checking Seven Two.  Rodeo and Tarree's Ruslie raced wide on the first turn.  Rodeo raced wide on the second turn.  Destini Seahorse checked off Half Moon Rising on the home turn.  Rodeo and Tarree's Ruslie raced wide in the home straight.

Sly Shiraz was slow to begin.

Sly Shiraz and Igor Karkaroff collided approaching the first turn checking Sly Shiraz.  Igor Karkaroff and Dundee Calypso collided on the first turn checking Dundee Calypso.  Dundee Calypso and Hit The Highway collided in the front straight.  Polijuice Potion and Igor Karkaroff collided several times from the second turn to the third turn checking Sly Shiraz, Hit The Highway and severely checking Polijuice Potion and Igor Karkaroff.  Hit The Highway checked off Dundee Calypso in the home straight.

Igor Karkaroff was vetted following the event.  it was reported that the greyhound sustained left whip muscle soreness and left saddle muscle soreness, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

A sample was taken from She's Got Grace - winner of the event.

Stewards charged Mrs Carole Brinsley with a breach of GAR 86(o) after she negligently failed to catch Kachina Allen in this event.  Mrs Brinsley pleaded guilty to the charge and was fined the sum of $100. In considering the penalty stewards took into account Mrs Brinsley previous history, noting that she had not offended under this rule in the past 24 months.

MEETING COMMENTS:

Exhibition Trial: - Kong trialled over the 515mtrs from box 3, weight 39.5kgs. The time of the trial was 1st split (5.14), 2nd split (19.03) and overall time was (29.707).

Shanlyn Percy and Garick Olivander collided soon after the start.  Ishmy Girl and Crackerjack Choc collided approaching the first turn.  Osakalaka severely contacted the running rail on the first turn.  Garick Olivander, Ishmy Girl, Crackerjack Choc and Erupt Eve Lad collided approaching the second turn checking Garick Olivander, Crackerjack Choc and severely checking Ishmy Girl and Erupt Eve Lad.  Tiggerlong Cruz and Tullabung Betty collided on the secound turn checking both greyhounds and causing both to race wide as result.  Ishmy Girl galloped on Erupt Eve Lad in the back straight.  Tiggerlong Cruz raced wide in the back straight.  Garick Olivander checked off Osakalaka on the third turn checking Garick Olivander and Crackerjack Choc.  Shanlyn Percy and Osakalaka collided on the home turn checking Shanlyn Percy.

Stewards issued a warning to Mrs L. Cockerell, the representative of Gregorovitch regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.
