Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Miss A Peat, the trainer of Laurence Avenue regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Laurence Avenue last raced on 15 May 2017. Miss Peat stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after being on season.
Mr. K. Ryan, trainer of Tanazoo declared a new weight of 40.8kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Tanazoo last raced at 39.7kg.
Lola Allen was quick to begin. Speed Alert was slow to begin. Tanazoo and Winlock Bird collided soon after the start. Jolmia, Crainy's Wish and Tanazoo collided approaching the first turn. Laurence Avenue and Tanazoo collided approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds. Speed Alert, Laurence Avenue, Crainy's Wish and Jolmia collided on the first turn. Crainy's Wish and Laurence Avenue collided approaching the home turn. Laurence Avenue checked off Speed Alert entering the home straight. Laurence Avenue and Speed Alert collided approaching the winning post.
