Beljay Lilac, Geopark Ruby, Go Dan and Nareen collided on the second turn checking Go Dan and severely checking Nareen. Prized and Better Way collided approaching the home turn. Izzy Kymtony and Nareen collided approaching the home turn. Cool Al and Geopark Ruby collided on the home turn. Better Way galloped on the heels of Cool Al entering the home straight severely checking Better Way. Go Dan galloped on the heels of Cool Al entering the home straight checking both greyhounds.

Stewards spoke to Mr R Clark, the trainer of Archers Will regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Archers Will last raced on 29-mar-17. Mr Clark stated that the reason for the Archers Will not racing was change of kennel and a spell.

Stitch Gun Miss was quick to begin. Avatar Woody and Winnie were slow to begin. Hookhimo Fozzio and Little Maggie collided on the first turn checking Little Maggie. Archer's Will checked off Hookhimo Fozzio approaching the home turn. Little Maggie checked off Little Nova on the home turn. Stitch Gun Miss and Hookhimo Fozzio collided in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Ms. D. White regarding the direction that the greyhound Stitch Gun Miss be boxed first. Acting under GAR 52(2) Stewards directed that this box first be removed.

Stewards spoke to Miss A Peat, the trainer of Laurence Avenue regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Laurence Avenue last raced on 15 May 2017. Miss Peat stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after being on season.

Mr. K. Ryan, trainer of Tanazoo declared a new weight of 40.8kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Tanazoo last raced at 39.7kg.

Lola Allen was quick to begin. Speed Alert was slow to begin. Tanazoo and Winlock Bird collided soon after the start. Jolmia, Crainy's Wish and Tanazoo collided approaching the first turn. Rex On, Lance Lomar and Sturridge collided on the second turn severely checking Rex On and checking Sturridge and Quick Collision. Latifi Zeus eased and collided with Windsor Prize approaching the home turn severely checking both greyhounds. Quick Collision checked off Sturridge on the home turn.

Windsor Prize was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left back muscle and right pencil muscle. A stand down period of 7 days was imposed.

Be Hopeful was vetted following the event. It was reported that sustained an injury to the left hind paw. A stand down period of 10 days was imposed.

Latifi Zeus was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. Trainer Mr. J. Arthur declined to have the greyhound re-vetted.

Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Arthur, the trainer of the greyhound Latifi Zeus regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Latifi Zeus with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Arthur pleaded guilty to the charge, Latifi Zeus was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Leachwood Lass was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right monkey muscle injury. A stand down period of 5 days was imposed.

Mr. G. Gledhill, trainer of Top Alcohol declared a new weight of 30.5kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Top Alcohol last raced at 29.4kg.
