Moonlit Wings and Jaimandy Hatty were quick to begin. Liebig Street and Miss Dee Meadows collided approaching the first turn checking Liebig Street. Cheese Ya Later checked off Moonlit Wings approaching the first turn checking Miss Dee Meadows, Black Impala, Eddie Eagle and Jaimandy Hatty. Cheese Ya Later and Miss Dee Meadows collided approaching the second turn checking Miss Dee Meadows and Jaimandy Hatty. Black Impala raced wide on the second turn and lost ground as a result. Liebig Street checked off Eddie Eagle entering the back straight. Black Impala and Jaimandy Hatty collided entering the home straight.
Black Impala was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right shoulder and right triangle muscle, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
