My Name's Red, Blue Reef and Sly Shiraz were quick to begin. Quick Step stumbled soon after the start. Sergei and Fugitive Bale collided soon after the start. Back On Lava clipped the heels of Sergei approaching the first turn and collided with Fugitive Bale. Blue Reef checked off Sly Shiraz on the first turn. Quick Step and Sergei collided on the first turn and again on the second turn checking Quick Step. Blue Reef and Sergei collided approaching the home turn. Quick Step and Sergei collided in the home straight.
My Name's Red was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left wrist and right calf muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
