My Name's Red was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left wrist and right calf muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Quick Step was vetted following the event and was revetted following Race 5 after performing below market expectation.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left shoulder and left triangle muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Kilty Express and Zipping Lady were quick to begin.  Blue Gum Hill, Rockstar Troy and Mystery Ride collided soon after the start.  Zambora Beau and Kachina Allen collided soon after the start.  Mystery Ride and Zambora Beau collided approaching the first turn.  Mystery Ride checked off Zipping Lady on the first turn.  Zambora Beau, Zipping Lady and Mystery Ride collided approaching the third turn, severely checking Mystery Ride.

Mystery Ride was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr J. Ennis, the kennel representitive of Exs And Ohs regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.   Exs And Ohs last raced on 29 April, 2017.  Mr Ennis stated that the greyhound was returning from a seasonal spell.

Jacey Allen, Maja Mahi Mahi and Oakstar were slow to begin.  Dashing Impulse, Pippy Dippy and Dewana Interest collided soon after the start.  Jacey Allen, Maja Mahi Mahi and Oakstar collided soon after the start. Empress Lu and Exs And Ohs collided on the first turn.  Dewana Interest and Jacey Allen collided on the home turn.

Dashing Impulse was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abraded paw pad, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Deadline To Meet was quick to begin.  Soutwood Max was slow to begin.  Allen Sharpie and Shanlyn Percy collided soon after the start.  Southwood Max and Shanlyn Percy collided approaching the first turn.  Sleek Master, Shanlyn Percy and Aston Hodge collided on the first turn.  Sleek Master and Shanlyn Percy collided on the second turn.  Allen Sharpie and Aston Hodge collided entering the back straight checking Allen Sharpie.  Aston Hodge marred Share on the third turn, approaching the home turn and again in the home straight.

Aston Hodge was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right back muscle and right hamstrings, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to Mr K. Greenough, Representative of the greyhound Aston Hodge.   Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Aston Hodge with marring.  Mr Greenough pleaded guilty to the charge, Aston Hodge was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at The Meadows and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

The race was held/delayed by approximately 90 seconds whilst a South Australian Harness race was completed
