Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Deadline To Meet.
Deadline To Meet was quick to begin. Soutwood Max was slow to begin. Allen Sharpie and Shanlyn Percy collided soon after the start. Southwood Max and Shanlyn Percy collided approaching the first turn. Sleek Master, Shanlyn Percy and Aston Hodge collided on the first turn. Sleek Master and Shanlyn Percy collided on the second turn. Allen Sharpie and Aston Hodge collided entering the back straight checking Allen Sharpie. Aston Hodge marred Share on the third turn, approaching the home turn and again in the home straight.
Aston Hodge was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right back muscle and right hamstrings, a 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr K. Greenough, Representative of the greyhound Aston Hodge. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Aston Hodge with marring. Mr Greenough pleaded guilty to the charge, Aston Hodge was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at The Meadows and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
