Steward's Report
A pre race sample was taken from Little Miss Emm.
Evelyn was slow to begin. Diamond Delight crossed in soon after the start checking Evelyn. Amaroo Bazinga galloped on Zulu Zoe approaching the first turn checking Amaroo Bazinga and Evelyn. Amaroo Bazinga and Evelyn collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Diamond Delight marred Slick Assassian approaching the second turn causing both greyhounds to race wide. Zulu Zoe and Little Miss Em collided entering the back straight. Diamond Delight and Amaroo Bazinga collided on the third turn. Evelyn and Diamond Delight collided approaching the home turn.
Diamond Delight was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound was found to have mild lameness in both front legs. No stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Jack, the trainer of the greyhound Diamond Delight regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the second turn. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Diamond Delight with marring. Mr. Jack pleaded not guilty to the charge, Diamond Delight was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Traralgon and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
