Steward's Report
Mrs. K. Fogarty, trainer of Sandtrack Sniper declared a new weight of 34.6kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Sandtrack Sniper last raced at 32.6kgs.
A pre race sample was taken from Kai Mook.
Jai Jai Away and Sandtrack Sniper were slow to begin. Tru Blu Keats and Kai Mook collided soon after the start. Shrek's Typhoon and Bracken Bridge collided approaching the first turn. Kai Mook and Great Sheldor collided approaching the first turn checking Kai Mook. Shrek's Typhoon galloped on Kai Mook on the first turn severely checking Kai Mook; Kai Mook and Sandtrack Sniper collided as a result. Tru Blu Keats and Shrek's Typhoon collided in the back straight. Jai Jai Away contacted the running rail approaching the second turn. Jai Jai Away checked off Tru Blu Keats on the second turn and stumbled. Kai Mook marred Sandtrack Sniper entering the home straight.
Vallexia was vetted and after being re vetted following event 4, it was reported that the greyhound was found to have neck soreness, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.
Jai Jai Away was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Kai Mook was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Terry, the trainer of the greyhound Kai Mook regarding the greyhound's racing manners entering the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Kai Mook with marring. Mr. Terry pleaded guilty to the charge, Kai Mook was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Traralgon and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
