A pre race sample was taken from Swift Damian.
Galloping Benny was slow to begin. Swift Damian crossed in soon after the start checking Mendacious Lad and Extra Kisses. Hurricane Craig, Dukestar, Swift Damian and Kev's Choice collided approaching the first turn checking Swift Damian. Hurricane Craig, Dukestar and Kev's Choice collided on the first turn checking Hurricane Craig and Dukestar; Swift Damian galloped on Dukestar as a result checking Dukestar and Galloping Benny and causing Swift Damian to fall. Hurricane Craig and Dukestar collided on the home turn.
Swift Damian was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound was found to have neck soreness, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
