Steward's Report
Ms. S. Northway, the trainer of Galloping Kriste declared a new weight of 28.4kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Galloping Kriste last raced at 26.8kgs.
A pre race sample was taken from Eagle Princess.
Our Sweetie and Eagle Princess were quick to begin. Hurricane Sam was slow to begin. Donna O'Muffin was very slow to begin (3 Lengths). Mt. View Gift galloped on Our Sweetie approaching the home turn checking Our Sweetie.
Following the event Donna O'Muffin displayed signs of Post Exercise Distress Syndrome (PEDS). As a result the greyhound was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound displayed clinical signs of Ataxia/Hypermetria. No stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. L. Mitchell, the representative of Donna O'Muffin and advised him that the greyhound would be closely monitored in future events.
