Stewards spoke to Mr. K. McCann, the trainer regarding his difficulty in boxing the greyhound Jetmag Storm.  Stewards directed that Jetmag Storm be boxed first in future events.

A pre race sample was taken from Amaroo Gonzales.

Amaroo Gonzales was slow to begin.  Ginger Warrior and Tophat And Tails collided soon after the start.  Barnie's Blaster checked off About To Cry on the first turn checking Trov's Gem, Oriental Lord and Amaroo Gonzales.  Amaroo Gonzales and Trov's Gem collided in the home straight.

Sultan's Boy was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the right hind, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.  Mr. Sultana declined the option to have the greyhound re vetted.

Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Sultana, the trainer of the greyhound Sultan's Boy.  Stewards deemed the performance of Sultan's Boy unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Sultan's Boy must perform a Satisfactory Trial before any future nomination will be accepted.

Spy Miss was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the right hind foot, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards issued a warning to Ms. K. Houlihan, the representative of greyhound Spy Miss regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight.

A sample was taken from Cosmic Nosey - the winner of the event.

Stewards spoke to Ms. C. Barnard, the representative of Habana City regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Habana City last raced on 12th March, 2017.  Ms. Barnard stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a spell.

Spring Stitch was re vetted after being retrieved from its kennel and past fit to compete.

Mr. R. Bean, trainer of Two Toes Tony declared a new weight of 34.7kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Two Toes Tony last raced at 35.9kgs.

Satisfactory Trial Results GAR (77A ) - Stewards spoke to Mrs. Pirani, the trainer of Gardsman regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Gardsman last raced on 30th November 2016.  Mrs. Pirani stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following an injured back muscle.  Gardsman trialled over the 400m from box 1, weight 31.8kgs, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 5.  The time of the trial was 22.92, the greyhound won by a margin of  6.75 lengths.  Gardsman was Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr. M. Johnson  the trainer of Kimmy  Bale regarding tjhe length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Kimmy Bale last raced on 14th September, 2016. Mr. Johnson stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a change of kennels and a spell.  Kimmy Bale trialled over the 400m from box 2, weight 30.0kgs, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 5.  The time of the trial was 22.92, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 6.75 lengths.  Kimmy Bale was Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results (77A) - Stewards spoke to Ms. C. McMillan, the trainer of Lord Somersby regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Lord Somersby last raced on 10th November, 2016.  Ms. McMillan stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following spelling and coursing.  Lord Somersby trialled over the 400m from box 7, weight 35.6kgs, the greyhound was placed 3rd in a field of 5.  The time of the trial was 22.92, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 7.5 lengths.  Lord Somersby was Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results (77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr. M. Johnson, the trainer of Reina Bale regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Reina Bale last raced on 11th December, 2016.  Mr. Johnson stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a change of kennels and a spell.  Reina Bale trialled over the 400m  from box 4, weight 29.2kgs, the greyhound was placed 5th in a field of 5.  The time of the trial was 22.92, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 12 lengths.  Reina Bale was Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Shrek's Fairy trialled over the 400m from box 8, weight 28.4kgs, the greyhound was placed 4th in a field of 5.  The time of the trial was 22.92, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 10 lengths.  Shrek's Fairy was Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results -  Stewards spoke to Ms. C. Barnard, the trainer of Black Eclipse regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Black Eclipse last raced on 13th January, 2017.  Ms. Barnard stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a spell.  Black Eclipse trialled over the 400m from box 4, weight 29.9kgs, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 23:09, the greyhound won by a margin of 5 lengths.  Black Eclipse was Cleared.
