Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Lucky Love.
Blackpool Chuck and Dewana Special collided soon after the start. Anustar and Dewana Special collided on the first turn. Lucky Love and Blackpool Chuck collided on the first turn. Dewana Special checked off the heels of Blackpool Chuck entering the back straight. Anustar eased approaching the winning post.
Anustar was vetted and revetted following event 12. It was reported that the greyhound sustained no apparent injury. Stewards spoke to Ms Emma Palma, the trainer of the greyhound Anustar, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Anustar with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Ms Palmer pleaded not guilty to the charge, Anustar was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at The Meadows (MEP) and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
