Spring Ripper was slow to begin. Goldenpaw Jet and Patchie Thief collided soon after the start. Chardy and Ledgerwood Joe collided soon after the start. Vectis Secret and Goldenpaw Jet collided approaching the first turn. Chardy, Ledgerwood Joe and Goldenpaw Jet collided on the first turn, checking Ledgerwood Joe and Goldenpaw Jet. Ledgerwood Joe and Spring Ripper collided on the first turn, checking Spring Ripper, which stumbled as a result.
Spring Ripper was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right monkey muscle, and a spike wound to the left hind leg, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
