Steward's Report
Barellen Genie was a late scratching at 5.08pm by Order of Stewards after it was established that the greyhound was not presented for its engagement. At a subsequent inquiry, Trainer Mr C.Dyett was charged under GAR 86(o) with negligence. Mr Dyett pleaded guilty to the charge and was fined the sum of $250.00.
Don's Gas and Soho Silhouette were slow to begin. Lush Life checked off Miss Moggy soon after the start. Don's Tron and Don's Gas collided approaching the first turn. Mepunga Nyssa and Soho Silhouette collided approaching the first turn. Mepunga Nyssa galloped on the heels of Soho Silhouette on the first turn, checking Mepunga Nyssa, Don's Tron, Don's Gas and Lush Life, and causing Soho Silhouette to fall. Don's Gas and Mepunga Nyssa collided on the home turn. Bugler checked off Miss Moggy in the home straight.
Soho Silhouette was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left monkey muscle, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.
