Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr. R. Divirgilio, the trainer of Neon Moon regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Neon Moon last raced on the 12 January 2016. Mr. Divirgilio stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after recovering from a metatarsal injury.
Abbewige Gold and Swift Bunny were quick to begin. Patty's Prince and Jaimandy Weary were slow to begin. Super Ricky and Beksun collided soon after the start. Super Ricky, Beksun and Swift Bunny collided approaching the first turn, checking Super Ricky and Patty's Prince. Super Ricky, Patty's Prince and Sir Fire collided on the first turn, checking Super Ricky. Beksun and Swift Bunny collided approaching the home turn. Sir FIre and Jaimandy Weary collided on the home turn, severely checking Sir Fire. Beksun and Swift Bunny collided on the home turn.
Sir Fire was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained lacerations above the right eye, a five day stand down period was imposed.
