Steward's Report
Little Hemi was quick to begin. Peper Cuts stumbled at box rise. Atlas Tinkabell was slow to begin. Just Jatt crossed to the rail soon after the start, checking Elite Panther, Omamori and Ultimate Paddy. Just Jatt, Omamori, Ultimate Paddy and Paper Cuts collided approaching the first turn, checking Paper Cuts and Omamori. Jack's Alouette and Little Hemi collided on the first turn. Just Jatt, Ultimate Paddy and Elite Panther collided on the first turn. Atlas Tinkabell eased approaching the home turn and pulled up. Little Hemi, Jack's Alouette, Elite Panther, Just Jatt and Ultimate Paddy collided on the home turn, checking Ultimate Paddy and severely checking Jack's Alouette and Just Jatt. Ultimate Paddy raced wide on the home turn. Ultimate Paddy, Little Hemi and Paper Cuts collided in the home straight. Paper Cuts and Little Hemi collided approaching the winning post.
Atlas Tinkabell was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. The trainer declined the option to have Atlas Tinkabell re-vetted.
Stewards spoke to Mis. L. Cookson, the trainer of the greyhound Atlas Tinkabell regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Atlas Tinkabell with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Ms Cookson pleaded guilty to the charge, Atlas Tinkabell was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Shepparton and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
